This one will differ from the MEUSOC build in that I'll be able to assemble it myself! This one will be as shooter as are all my pistols so unless its absolutely necessary, I dont plan on refinishing it. The later M9 pistols get less and less of the stampings and Assembly numbers so those wont do as my main "need" from a donor pistol is the stamped frame. From what I understand, I'll need either a 475th Anniversary M9 or an early M9 "Special Edition". I need to get a Beretta M9 that has the proper frame markings. Without Locking Block and Plunger, With Locking Block Plunger Add 45. Drop In, Fitted Gun Must Be Sent In Add 60.00 Barrel Options. I figure in 15 years (thanks Bender for inadvertently giving me a nudge to begin this build) the parts needed for this build will not be as readily available (some are hard to track down now) so I may as well get on it!įirst things first. Beretta 92 4.25' Compact, Beretta 92 4.6' Full Size, Beretta 92 4.9' Full Size. Something about those markings and assembly numbers that really tickle me. My inspiration for this build can be seen here: Since my MEUSOC Pistol turned out so darn well and my M4 Rifle build is pretty much complete, I figured I'd start looking into building a replica of the Beretta M9 as it was originally issued to our troops.
